So I have been persistent in getting my sweet hubby-to-be to go with me to a local park. I have been wanting to check it out because I thought that it might be the perfect place to hold our November nuptials. I mean, it holds many great qualities....it's outdoors....it's contains a portion of the Chattahoochee River....there are some historical ruins from and old mill that was burned during Sherman's March to Atlanta.....I mean, come on!! It sounds great, right?
Anyway, today he humored me and said we could go. So I get dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and strap on my Converse thinking this would be a get-out-of-the-car-and-take-a-look-around kind of activity. Well....as it turns out...you have to hike 1/2 a mile to get to the ruins...and I mean HIKE!!! Then you have to hike another 1/2 a mile to get to the falls...and I mean HIKE!!
So, what did I learn today? Hiking boots are my friend....Converse are not. And, always....ALWAYS keep a hair tie in my pocket. Yeah....I was sweating!
And, of course, the biggest lesson of all...Danny has got to be the most patient man on earth to deal with me and my cockamamie ideas!
